Mission Statement
Me too & Co exists to provide “relief of children with additional needs due to physical or learning impairment, emotional or behaviour difficulties or any permanent or temporary illness, in the London Borough of Richmond and surrounding areas, and the provision of information, practical advice and support to their families, carers and siblings”.
About Us
Me too & Co was set up in 2006 by Anne-Marie Asgari along with other parents of children with additional needs, and professionals who have experience of working with them. Me too & Co is run by a Board of Trustees, most of whom are parents of children with special needs. Over 50 volunteers help to run our services with one part-time staff member. Nearly 300 families have now joined Me too & Co and we offer services for all members of the family.
Our Aims
We aim to help children who are disadvantaged by their health problems which restrict their access to activities, and by communication difficulties which delay their development. These children are often isolated and are unable to attend mainstream nurseries or playgroups due to lack of specialist facilities or lack or understanding by others.
We also aim to help teenage girls with high functioning autism who have little support and are unable to make friends and understand other's expressions or feelings, and are consequently severely isolated and depressed.
We also aim to offer support to the whole family: siblings of children with additional needs suffer emotional distress and feelings of difference. Parents/carers feel overwhelmed, depressed and alone, while the lack of information and support for families leads to further isolation and financial difficulties.
How We do This

We offer a friendly and welcoming environment where a parent can feel comfortable attending with their child, feel understood and socialise with other parents. We provide advice, information and support to parents/carers in the form of talks, workshops and counselling with the main framework in mind of helping parents to help children. We work in partnership with other organisations to achieve this.
To ensure that we are fully informed and led by our members needs, we gather written information on needs from all our members when they join and organise regular consultations with our members through questionnaires, meetings and informal interviews.
