Brainwave is a Children’s Charity which provides therapy for children with Developmental Delay, brain injury, genetic conditions, chromosome abnormality, birth trauma and accident. The aim of the Charity is to help children from all over the country to become as independent as possible whilst improving their lives on a daily basis. The Benefit Advice Surgery has been an amazing support for our parents and is facilitated by Pauline Hill in conjunction with Richmond Aid. This means that we have a very experienced person here at Me too to assist you in ensuring you receive all the benefits you are entitled to, and making the filling in of the daunting DLA form that much easier. Kelly is a legal expert, who provides free face-to-face advocacy and information to parents and carers of children with special educational needs or disabilities. Do you feel that you need to be more informed about your rights? Do you want to ensure that your child’s support is appropriate and secured through a statement of special needs?

Parent participation is a vital part of the new integrated Services for Children with Disabilities and Learning Difficulties, set up in Richmond in 2005, to meet the standards set by the National Service Framework for Children.
