Welcome to Me Too & Co.
We offer opportunities for children to play and learn in a friendly and welcoming environment and provide information and emotional support for their families. All our sessions are run by volunteers.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
- All our volunteers are police and reference checked.
- They are trained in our policies of equal opportunities, confidentiality and child protection and receive ongoing training in issues concerning children with additional needs.
- They will help play with your child and provide refreshments and an understanding ear.
- They will help to supervise your children and facilitate the singing, story telling or drumming activities.
Crèche
- One volunteer will be allocated to look after your child in the crèche and will play with him/her and supervise his/her safety.
- Volunteers will not administer any medication or food.
- They will not change nappies or clothing, but inform you if this is necessary.
- If a child is upset and cannot be comforted, the volunteer will bring the child to you.
- Volunteers are instructed to raise any problems with supervisors.
General
- We will ensure that parents get a reminder of an appointment at the Osteopathy Clinic well in advance.
- We are covered by public liability insurance and our chairperson, Anne-Marie Asgari has been fully trained in First Aid and Fire Drill.
- We will deal with any grievances as quickly as possible. Please raise any issues with Anne-Marie Asgari or another volunteer.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- During the play sessions and the activities the responsibility for the safety and discipline of your child remains with you, the parent or carer.
- If you wish to leave the room, you must ask another adult to supervise your child. If you leave the premises (including to use a mobile phone) you must take your child with you.
- If you wish to attend talks, workshops or advice surgeries, please book crèche places in advance by email, text or phone, as places are limited.
- We ask that you participate fully with your child during the sit down activities in order to help him/her concentrate and enjoy the activity as much as possible.
- Hot drinks should be placed out of the reach of children at all times.
- If you are unable to attend an appointment at the Osteopathy Clinic, please inform us in sufficient time so that we can offer the slot to another child.
- We ask that all members should respect our values.
Parking
Please note that there is NO parking available for our members at the Crossway Centre. Please use Marble Hill Car Park or surrounding streets. For public transport access check out our how to find us page.
We hope that your child enjoys having fun with us and making new friends and that you will find some much needed relaxation and support. We welcome any suggestions from our members to help us to expand or improve our services so please let us know if you have any comments.
Our Values
- We seek to be an open and inclusive organisation, promoting diversity and equality.
- We support and welcome parents and families from all communities and believe they should be treated with equal worth regardless of disability, gender, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation and social class.
